The Start of PVTL - What Are We ? Who Are We?

Updated: Feb 22

You may have seen us … You may have heard of us... or maybe you have not just YET. But here you are, starting your journey to know and learn about US! So, thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We hope you continue to embark on this journey as we grow into the world of blogging.

First off, let me tell you a little bit about us. Our passion comes from serving and empowering the transportation industry by providing industry solutions that “connects industry leaders to our great industry” in a unique and innovative way! Our services range from compliance, training, and consulting to volunteering and being an active positive voice on advocacy. Our focus is to influence, and we believe that there is a large need, far more than the eye can see and the passion of "you're not just" but you are more than just a job title. With the support of encouragement and creating value, you can achieve results that are long-lasting, in-depth that are carried throughout your day even after your shift at work is done for the day when you shift your mindset.

Another thing, you will regularly hear from us is that “we are on a family mission”. We believe family and friends help carve the way, which motivates us to put our best selves forward. Without a strong foundation of support, goals can sometimes seem unreachable. So, not only is our goal to serve and empower those directly within the industry but also to have a positive impact on the lives of those associated with the transportation industry.

For well over a decade, I, Josh Hannaberry, have been highly active within the transportation industry. With positions held, ranging from over the road professional driver, company owner, operation and safety management roles, industry speaker, and now a writer and podcaster! Throughout the years, I have been fortunate to have these experiences, and when I analyze what I appreciate most….I have to say that it is the people within our industry who work extremely hard to ensure our daily lives are comfortable.

My wife, Kathy, has grown up knowing the transportation industry as her father is a long-haul professional driver. She has a true admiration for those in the industry and understands all too well what it’s like, having her father on the road for weeks at a time to help ensure she could have a pleasant upbringing. Our two sons, Avery (who is our oldest) and Bentley (who is our youngest) are growing up, knowing the value of those working in our industry bring. Especially our oldest... his passion for showing appreciation for professional drivers through his "thankatrucker" drawing and his eagerness to understand just how important the transportation industry is to businesses who provide essential items to stores.

As I reflect in this blog article about all of the experiences I have had this far, I find myself expressing gratitude for the legends in the industry that have taken me under their wing, and shared their knowledge and passion. Because of the gracious gifts shared with me, I feel compelled to share this with others.

Over the last 12 – 18 months, our industry has undergone many changes, and these changes have a direct impact on businesses within the transportation industry. We believe now, more than ever, is crucial for businesses in the transportation industry to be connected with industry experts that can help resolve challenges.

We know that rising insurance premiums are a factor for a lot of carriers in the industry right now, which is why we work closely with Leibel Insurance Group and their commercial vehicle insurance program, specifically working with commercial carriers Big Rig Insurance.

Purchasing a truck, tractor, or trailer, regardless if it is your first time, expanding your fleet, or replacing a current power unit, can seem confusing and challenging. We work closely with the experts at Glover Truck International to ensure clients receive the trusted advice needed, to make the correct purchasing decision.

When it comes to financing equipment, one of the key questions that come to mind is "do I obtain a lease or a loan". When making this decision, a couple of things to keep in mind is how good is the purchaser's credit, do they have a down payment, what is the interest rate on the lease or loan, and the length of time the agreement is made. We highly recommend working with the financial experts at Star Finance as they will educate and provide trusted guidance during this process.

As we continue to serve our industry, we are excited to introduce many more of our industry expert connection to you, to help create a pivotal change.

We are excited about this journey, and we are so excited that you have joined us!
